1. Overview
  TM-T70II Utility is a dedicated utility for the TM-T70II printer to 
  check and configure the TM-T70II's parameters.

1.1 Support OS

2. Installation
    Execute "TM-T70IIUtilityXXX.exe". Install TM-T70II Utility 
  following the instructions on the screen.


3. Uninstallation
    Select [Start] - [Control Panel] - [Uninstall a program] - 
  [EPSON TM-T70II Utility]. Click "Uninstall".


4. Restrictions
  1) On Windows 2000, TM-T70II with the printer class of USB is not 
     supported. Use it with the vendor class.

  2) On Windows2000, even if the IP address is changed with the 
     "TM-T70II Utility", the IP address of the printer driver is not 
     changed. Open the property of the printer driver to change the 
     IP address. 

  3) When the printer is connected with USB, the environment with 
     the vendor class and the printer class mixed is not supported. 

  4) When adding the printer with the Ethernet port, directly specify 
     the IP address if the subject IP address cannot be found. 

  5) Printer status may not be indicated correctly depending on the 
     installment of the interface or driver. 

  6) Confirm the printer status is online, before you change settings
     and execute "Test Printing". 

  7) Saved setting cannot be restored to the printer with the 
     different font installed. 

  8) In case of the serial interface, the setting can be 
     automatically recovered only when the 
     "notification of the power ON" is available. 

  9) On Windows Embedded Standard 7 or Windows Embedded POSReady 2009, 
     pop-up messages of this utility may be hidden by limitation of OS.

 10) If the coupon cannot be printed, please confirm the following settings.
     - Close the TM-T70II Utility.
       Printing cannot be performed when the TM-T70II Utility is activated.
     - If the coupon in coupon image list is not checked, reset upon checking.
     - If [Enable this port] is not checked, reset upon checking.
     - Please restart the computer.

 11) If the coupon cannot be printed with the set keyword, 
     please confirm the following settings.
     - Confirm whether printing can be performed apart from the keyword setting.
     - Confirm the keyword setting once again.
     <In the case of Advance Printer Driver Ver.5>
     - Set the font to the device font, and change it to the specified size.
     - If the device font cannot be specified in the application, 
       replace the font in "Advanced Settings" according to the following 
       procedure.
       1. In the APD5 Utility, select [Font Replacement] and then 
          [TrueType Substitution].
       2. Specify the font used in the application in 
          [TrueType Font to Substitute].
       3. Select the device font from [Device Font]. 
          When the device font is selected, a point setting is specified 
          for the font size. 
          Select a device font with a size that is close to the size printed 
          by the application.
       4. Perform a test print to confirm if a keyword search is possible. 
          Printing might not be possible if the size of the device font is 
          not the same as the size printed by the application.
